Review by Richard Lambert, 5 Stars
What can you say about a show that’s outstanding in every department! This show is a spectacular wowzer!
The Queenz are incredible dancers, singers and performers and grab the audience by their short and curlies from the start. The costumes are fabulous! The lighting stunning! The Sound spot-on! An abundance of haze and mirror-balls. A set that’s fit for a Queen that trucks up and down-stage, with built in penny-mirrors, blinders and LED strips.
I seriously suspect everyone in the audience had the time of their life and will return to see them again and again.
Touring a show of this scale is a monumental achievement and getting such a huge lighting rig in, programmed, operated and loaded-out in one day should take an army. A crew of 3 backstage and light and sound operators manage this. Truly must be an act of love to achieve so much!
Each set of songs is a mega-mix, every song a banger, all put together with some first-rate musical arrangements. Just the best choice of songs mashed to get you clapping along.
Any review of the show could not omit the dynamite performer that is “Jase”. A wanna-be performer who pops out to sing, dance and entertain. He is a high energy camp performer who is just full of energy.
Of all the shows I’ve seen this year, this has been my highlight! It is brilliant!
“Drag me to the Disco”? I don’t think so, “Follow my skid-marks” more like!
