Joe Leather and Pit Theatre: Joe Leather (he/they) is an Offie-nominated writer and performer. Acting credits include Jersey Boys (International Tour), Oklahoma! (Gordon Craig) and Sleep No More (Punchdrunk, Shanghai). His comedy TikTok (@leathermyjoe) has garnered over a million likes, while TV credits include Britain’s Got Talent and The Last Leg.Their previous musical, ‘The Lost Works of Willy Shakes’ was one of the Telegraph’s ’20 Must-see Shows of the Edinburgh Fringe 2019′. Joe has also provided script and lyrics to touring UK Drag Show ‘Queenz’ while ‘Wasteman’ had a sell-out run at the Camden Fringe and received an OffFest nomination for best show.

Joe Leather is a seasoned performer with a lot of charisma. His auto-biographical play has a lot of heart. With fantastic make-up he comfortably changes from “day wear” into wigs and dresses.
Starting the show with a musical song and also finishing with a song was delightful. I would have loved more songs. There was a little too much unnecessary movement of the wheelie bin and chairs and with the sound effects quite loud and house lights coming on about 12 times there were a lot of distractions.
His deathdrop finale into the splits, in heels, rightly got a standing ovation!
A great entertaining hour in the company of a very personable performer.
